5.4.5. Agreement marking in the presence/absence of a copula/verb form
There is number agreement on the predicate in both cases: the copula can be absent or present, there is agreement in plural.
Ez-ek | a | könyv-ek | Iván-é-i | (*van-nak)/vol-t-ak. |
this-PL | the | book-PL | Ivan-é-PL | be-3PL/be-PST-3PL |
’These books are/were Ivan's.’
