5.7.4. Relation to adnominal possession
In adnominal possessive constructions the possessor is unmarked or dative-marked, while in belong-constructions it bears the suffix -é. Unlike in adnominal possessive constructions the possessed head is not pronounced, the possessive suffix (that is the marker of possessedness) cannot appear, and the plural marker of the covert head noun leans onto the -é marked possessor.
