8.2.4.  Complex constructions (finite/non-finite clauses) as modifiers

Non-finite (participial relative) clauses can be used as pre-head modifiers. Active participles are marked by the -ó/-ő ending
a kertet gondosan felás-ó munkás

Non-finite (participial relative) clauses can be used as pre-head modifiers. Passive participle are marked by the -t/-tt ending.
a munkás által gondosan felás-ott kert
the worker via thoroughly PRT.dig-PTCP garden
’the garden that was thoroughly dug up by the worker’

Non-finite (participial relative) clauses can be used as pre-head modifiers. Future participles are marked by the -andó/-endő ending. These participles have a deontic modal flavour.
a munkás által gondosan felás-andó kert
the worker via thoroughly PRT.dig-PTCP garden
’the garden that is to be thoroughly dug up by the worker’
