9.1.3. Universal quantifiers
Universal quantifiers do not form a homogeneous group morphologically. Examples for universal quantifiers are //minden// 'every' , and //valamennyi// 'each'. The latter is ambiguous between an existential and universal reading and can be disambiguated by stress.
minden/'valamennyi | alma |
every/every | apple |
’every apple’

The universal quantifier //mind// 'all' is an exceptional item as for its distributional properties: unlike other quantifiers, mind cannot precede a bare noun. It can only modify definite noun phrases that contain a numeral.
mind | *(a | három) | könyv |
all | the | three | book |
’all the three books’
