3.1.3. The semantic properties of the subject/theme
The verb must be present irrespectively from the semantic properties of the subject. The examples illustrate human, animate, and inanimate subjects. Note, however, that the subject must be non-specific, that is why a definite article, or a specific quantifier cannot appear.
