3.5.2. The presence/absence of a locative expression
The locative expression can be absent in existential clauses, but in that case only verb-initial word order is possible.

’There are/exist ghosts.’

When there is a locative in the clause, word order is free.
(Szellem-ek) | van-nak | (szellem-ek) | a | kastély-ban. |
ghost-PL | be-3PL | ghost-pl | the | castle-INE |
’There are ghosts in the castle.’
