3.1.2. The person feature of the subject/theme
The verb must be present with all persons. Note that normally third person subject is expected, since existential clauses require a non-specific subjects. Non-third person subjects are rather to be interpreted as subjects of locative clauses.

’There are ghosts in the castle and there is me, the doorman.’
