11.1.2.  Determiner quantifiers and demonstrative determiners

In a broader sense, all functional elements that in a way either identify the referent of a noun phrase, or determine its position in a set whose reference is well-established, can be considered determiners. In Hungarian, demonstratives, and several quantifiers meet this requirement. In the example, the first mention of the dogs is determined by an artucle, while the second mention by a universal quantifier suffixed with the partitive-specific -ik.
