1.4.1. Agreement with the number feature of the subject
There is always number agreement with the subject. The example illustrates a third person plural subject in a present tense, indicative sentence, when the copula is obligatorily absent.
A | fiú-k | orvos-ok/magas-ak. |
the | boy-PL | docot-PL/tall-PL |
’The boys are doctors / tall.’

There is agreement in number, also with non-third person subjects.
Beteg-ek/orvos-ok | vagy-unk. |
ill-PL/doctor-PL | be-1PL |
’We are ill / doctors.’
